Kern-Paillard Yvar 75/2,8 AR

This lens is from Bolex cine camera.
It has C mount mount.
Common character of this C mount type lens is sharp at center only when it's being used in digital camera, APSC or m4/3. edges will get swirled and very soft.
It doesn't happen with this lens.
This image below shows on left side still has detail.

Bokeh type is not so special, but looks good for a f2,8 maximum aperture lens.

The lens has some fungus and haze
So I must avoid strong light

I think it's nice for portrait lens.

You can see fall off on corners. This was at closest distance and wide open. If I turn aperture to smaller it become vignette, getting stronger in smallest aperture. All wide open.

This is not in minimum focus distance, you can see vignette getting stronger than 1rst picture.

Like other common C mount lenses, sharp only at center of frame. swirly bokeh, and small.

This lens has unique character. As you might know c-mount lenses under 35mm has vignete on Sony NEX.
This vignette usually go thicker if stop down. but this lens do opposite, stop down will be thinner vignete.

Cosmicar 75/1,4 Television c mount

Some c mount lenses has swirly bokeh. this one has it too.
strange type bokeh. not so sharp at wideopen. good for portrait I guess.
Dont expect sharpness in corners, in my experience, no c mount lenses have it. IMHO. well maybe untill  someday I found different one.
It's not easy to find right focus, specially wide open. but not difficult either. you just need to practice, and you will find pleasing result,

Fujian 35/1,7 C-mount

Some people say this lens is just a toy lens. for the price, yes.

However center sharpness is easy with it. but Don't expect sharp on edges!

Let just see result. center is sharp, and you can see letters EMERGENCY is getting softer from Y to E letter. It's like using tilt lens :D, if you want this effect, go get it. but if landscape with infinity is what you want, forget this lens.

With right technique this lens can produce nice image, see below.
I was surprised myself with this result. very nice sharp and detail. well, in center :P
