Carl Zeiss Planar 50/1,4 HFT

I got it  plus adapter Rollei-EOS, hood, and original caps., but it doen't get infinity with adapter provided in My EOS. Then my friend suggested me to adjust the focusing ring. After bought the right screw driver, I unscrewed the focusing ring, then find the infinty. And that's it. I screwed again. Now it gets infinity, look at Merapi picture below.

Carl Zeiss Sonnar 135/3.5 Zebra

This Carl Zeiss Sonnar 135/3.5 Zebra version is not multi coating yet. I compare it to the MC version, but not side by side, 'coz the two MCs sold first. Over all, there are no big different, among them. Multi coating is said to be better to handle flare, and over light. But is that true? This lens isn't bad handling light. From my experience, zebra version has better CA control.
Let's see how this lens handle flare/ strong back light

Portrait lens, yes this is famaous as good portait lens,
Cropped. The original file has back light in left, like the one above it

Wide open
It produce nice color rendering. And the color is tend to calm, I like it.

This silloute prove that this lens has less CA/purple fringing
Perfect for silloute

Canon FD 55/1.2 SSC

My first 1.2 lens is Old Canon FD 55/1.2 SSC, condition about 85%.

First touch, I felt same with the FD 35/2 White nose. Quite heavy. And the ring filter is same as modern lens, 58mm.

Infinity test

 pictures below shot@ wide open

100% crop
The image above is a crop from below, Wide open of the 1.2 SSC
Focus in the center (red plastic birds)

Focus on jewelry around right ear
100% crop
On the 100% crop above, we can see the detail on focus, but there's glow. Someone said its common with this lens.
I like the colour produced by this Solid metal body  lens. Its really different from FD 50/1.4 SSC.
So itsn't just half stop that make the price double. Build quality, and the colour rendering is different.
