Samyang 8/3,5 EOS Fish eye Aspherical

It's the cheapest fish eye at market now.

Plastic body, but there's  metal part too, at least the mount is.
Sample with Canon 60D

I tried on Sony NEX5, no vignette in 16:9 mode, but slight vignete appear on 3:2 mode (2 diagonal corners, up right & left down). That's fine for me, I shot 16:9 often than 3:2, specially for landscape.

on EOS 650 film camera I can see strong vignette, but I haven't printed it out yet. As far I remember my friend Stefan show me pictures that Heliar 15/4,5 has slight vignette on NEX3. I thought this lens will be same. well it doesn't.

At first touch, this lens isn't easy to determine whether it's in focus or not. all look the same.

Sharpness at infinity only achieved step down to F8

Well I don't expect much sharpness from this  fisheye lens. it's 8mm!

not fair to compare it to my Takumar 17/4 which is easy to get sharp at infinity. 

I haven't post the result yet, my connection is awful now.
When I first focusing, this lens is really strange. focus is correct only at 0.3m, beyond that its blurr
I read on google, I found this lens need adjustment. It's common issue for this fisheye. I cannot believe this product must be adjusted by user not by manufacturer!
Well, it's not difficult adjustment, but hey...for new lens?? What are those guys thinking?
Now it's adjusted and function is work as it should be.

This lens has different look than any lenses I ever have.
I cannot find place to put filter or front cap.
MFD is written 0,25, close enough for macro

Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50/2,8 M42 black

Lensa yang termasuk low entry alias murah dengan kualitas standar Zeiss.
Ada beberapa jenis varian lensa ini. Saya pernah memiliki versi exakta dengan finishing zebra, kemudian versi tanpa adanya nama Zeiss (karena konflik Jerman Barat & Timur dulu) Jena 50/2,8.



Versi black ini ukurannya kecil, dengan jarak terdekat (MFD) tertulis 0,35m cukup lumayan buat bermain macro, apalagi kalau ditambahin extension tube.
Design elemen depan memang mirip dengan lensa macro yang mana bagian optik menjorok ke dalam, terlindungi oleh bodi yang berfungsi semacam hood terutama untuk macro agar optik tidak menyentuh objek secara langsung.

Konica Hexanon 57/1,2 AR AE

This lens has 62mm filter ring
minimum distance 0,45m
show CA on wideopen, but I think it sharp at f1,2, only you have to be carefull, focus precisely due thin dof.

This made in Canada lens is quiet heavy for it size/ focal length, built in tripod collar  indicate that.

Konica Hexanon AR 85/1,8 EE

I'm curious of Konica glasses. this is my 2nd Hexanon
closest distance is written 1 meter before infinity is 20 meter.

my opinion at first day 
Almost sharp as Takumar 85/1,9 at wideopen but I can see detail, sharp enough for portrait lens
edited: The different with Takumar regarding sharpness in wide open isn't big. It sharp. only harder to get focus due thin dof.
Shows some CA until f8
Color is pleasing me. natural without any PP and standard camera setting
Usually I must set my Sony NEX to vivid mode to get true green color, With this lens, portrait or landscape mode get true green color. Vivid mode give more contrast, that's it.
